I really like this.

It must be strange not to have lived so far into existence, viewing the blind complexity by which laws were justified to erase simplicity.

You're welcome.

It reminds me of one of my favorite books, "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. When Jonas begins to see color while everyone else in the community can only see grayscale. I think I'll favorite it.

i have read it now and i liked it a lot =)

what do you think about the end of the story?
:iconginagrotesque:
Good to hear! It's a bit shocking, and kinda gives you a sense of gratitude, eh? At least it does for me.

Now you see why the painting reminded me of the book?

yeah, I think i like the ending, but I get the feeling that he died. gratitude.. absolutly.

I just read Oryx and Crake and it´s the best book I´ve ever read and also a dystopian story, but for adults.

have you read it?
:iconginagrotesque:
If the ending makes you curious, you should check out the other two books by Lois Lowry that accompany it. Read "Gathering Blue", then read "Messenger." They are two other separate stories, but the very end of Messenger will link all the books together and I think any mysteries left unsolved will be answered.

I haven't read Oryx and Crake, but I'm heading to the library today and I'll see if they have it. :)
